As a young man I hitchhiked around the country and have traveled thousands of miles “by thumb”. I have lived out of a backpack , slept in graveyards and under bridges— all good experiences. My reason for taking my first Kenpo class was simple: I was robbed at gunpoint—a pistol aimed pointblank at my head when I was 17 years of age. My wallet, winter coat, boots, and watch were taken and I was dropped off otherwise unharmed in an unfamiliar neighborhood during a cold evening.
“Hitch Hiker” Cinders pushed aside Cars speed by this Easter week I wait for a ride. J Hanna |
